Manipal University is located in Manipal, Karnataka, India. It also has campuses in Bangalore, Mangalore, Jaipur, Sikkim, Dubai, Malaysia and Antigua which offers various programs in various fields of engineering, medicine and management. Manipal University, Manipal campus is divided in two areas: the one is a health sciences campus and the other is an engineering campus. Department of Statistics

The Department of Statistics was established on August 1, 2006. The department offers a Masters program in Biostatistics, a Certificate program in Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Methodology and a Doctoral Program. The Department also offers statistical consultancy to postgraduates and undergraduate students of various health science courses. The department offers a PhD program in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical industry Novartis Health care Ltd., Hyderabad. The department conducts “Executive Education Program in Biostatistics” in collaboration with Novartis Health care Ltd., Hyderabad.
The department is equipped with a state of the art computational facility and is in possession of packages such as R, nMaster, EndNote, SPSS, STATA and SAS.
The department has received research grants worth more than 1.5 Crore and has collaboration with various national and international organizations.
The department regularly conducts conferences, workshops and seminars on various advanced statistical methods and Mathematics.
